" I just received the album and I can't really adequately express how impressed I am with the sheer power of it! The music is superb..the band are clearly accomplished musicians and the way you all mesh is truly seamless. Your music is first rate; music, words and last, but not least, your voice is mature with beautiful phrasing. This work is incredible! I've passed it on to some people ..."

"Hey I don't wanna make you 'vainglorious', but... THIS CD IS TOO GREAT. Your voice is perfect, so is the music."

"Well done! I look forward to your next album... I love the music and your splendid voice... also let the boys in the band know, that in my opinion, as a NYC Music & Art grad, class of '65, they perform in the subtle yet authoritative manner that makes for a winning recording."

"Dear 'Bo'
You guys rock. I've been to all your concerts. I was thinking about getting your autograph tattooed on my left bicep. My friend said it would help me get chicks."

"Ciao, maestro, the CD has arrived, and I believe it is fantastic. You have aged like a fine cabernet, your voice being BETTER than ever. I love the music. Thank you for staying the course and continuing to make timeless poetry with gorgeous melodies."

I think, therefore I am
By Gareth Corsi

"I AM kind of in a quandary about this, not sure what to make of it. The Beaux Jaxon Band's latest album, Who I Am, has me in a bit of a pickle.

Things just seem to be a little bit jumbled up. To me, the name The Beaux Jaxon Band gives the group an air of the blues, yet take a look on the website and the five-man outfit styles itself in the classic rock genre.

However, the first couple of tracks on the album takes me back to late '80s/early '90s Britain, when a number of bands like New Order seemed to be trying out new sounds, shaking off that moody, angst-ridden early '80s cloak.

Who I Am though, does progress on into that classic rock area the band professes. Smart use of electric and bass guitars bring forward a distinctive sound, along with nice, clear lyrics.

Maybe my presumption of a blues sound was a premonition (more likely coincidence), because, as the album continued, I could make out a blues influence through Gábor Gyöngyösi on keyboards.

Mind you, at one point I also thought there was a definite Beatles twist too.

But, perhaps that is one of the good things about listening to The Beaux Jaxon Band: it allows you to search for that connection to your own favorites from different genres."
